Thank you for your support of Zingerman’s Camp Bacon®. After 10 tremendous years, the time has come to close up the campground.

Together we’ve dined on scrumptious bacon bites and learned from countless captivating guest speakers. Attendance not only tickled tastebuds and stimulated brains, but also helped support a number of organizations, like the Southern Foodways Alliance, Food Gatherers, the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County, and the Washtenaw County 4-H. A pandemic-induced pause resulted in us feeling like it was the right time to celebrate what it was and start work on what’s to come next. Thank you to our many sponsors, speakers, and attendees over the years—you all made this camp what it was!

We still love bacon and support your path to porky paradise:

  • Join the Zingerman’s Bacon Club, as seen on Food Network’s The Best Thing I Ever Ate.
  • Pick up a copy of Zingerman’s Guide to Better Bacon and join James Beard award-winner Ari Weinzweig as he guides you on a personal tour of bacon’s long and curious history, and brings you right to the smokehouse door of some of his favorite bacon curers in the U.S.
  • Stop by Zingerman’s Delicatessen to peruse their selection of bacon to fry up at home.
  • Visit Zingerman’s Roadhouse for bacon-laden dishes like Macaroni & Cheese with Pimento Cheese and Bacon, and more.
  • Snap up the remaining Camp Bacon swag, while supplies last. Get your hands on these collector’s classics* while you still can. (*In our minds at least!)

And, of course, just because Camp Bacon has concluded doesn’t mean we’re any less into eating and learning about full-flavored, traditionally-made foods. Sign up for e-newsletters to learn more about what’s happening in our Community of Businesses. We’re working on some possible options to take its place in the years to come—stay tuned!

Thank you for your patience, participation, and support!

Yours in flavor, fat, and fun,

The Camp Bacon Team
